Loved the taste, but leaves can be better.

I really loved the taste and would order again. The light flavour really suits my taste buds. Smells amazing, but I noticed that the package has whole leaves as well as some broken leaves. And the amount of broken leaves is more as compared to whole leaves. Like the ratio of whole leaves to broken leaves was 2:3. That was bit of a concern for me. I hope you would take my feedback as a constructive critism and look at the quality of leaves being packed, whether they are whole or broken. Rest everything was good, delievery was good, packaging good, and taste is fantastic.

Its different.

Generally tea comes as dressed may it be any best tea, this is the first time I saw a tea is sold on its original shape, just plucked from the garden and dried. Once I personally did the same thing by myself plucking from a garden, it taste awesome and the flavor. Only problem is how to judge equivalent of a tablespoon, but slowly you will get accustomed to it. Price is also affordable, like the discounted one.

FAQs

We are based out of Second Chance House at Selim Hill Tea Garden. Selim Hill is a 1,000 acre heritage tea estate bordering the town of Kurseong. Established in 1871, tea is grown at an altitude of 500-4,000ft.

We have partnered with the Selim Hill Collective to create community welfare measures such as waste management programs, afforestation campaigns, and community education initiatives. We ensure our team of pluckers, sorting artisans, and factory workers are paid a fair wage.

Before each packet of tea leaves our factory, we roast it once again to ensure that only the best quality tea reaches you. From our factory, it’s dispatched directly to your homes. We guarantee that when you buy from our websites, there are no middlemen involved. This means, it reaches you within 5-10 days of dispatch from Darjeeling.

Selim Hill Tea Garden was one of the pioneers of the organic movement in Darjeeling. We have been a certified organic estate since the early 2000s. Selim Hill is also Rainforest Certified, and undertakes large scale afforestation through the Selim Hill Collective.
