Dorje Teas in the Filmfare Awards Gift Hamper

The 67th Filmfare Awards Invitation Card Hamper was indeed a special one. It was an exciting evening, when we received information that Filmfare may include the Dorje Teas packet in its hamper. The first step was to send them sample packets. Once they liked the same, they would also have to see how the Dorje packets looked inside the hamper. The sample packets were promptly sent off to Mumbai.

We now waited for the final confirmation of whether Dorje Teas would go to the Who’s Who of Bollywood. One evening, when it was thundering outside, our founders received a phone call that the Dorje Tea Packets could feature in the Filmfare hamper. However, they would have to be delivered to the Filmfare office within 48 hours. Our first reaction was that it seemed impossible. How would we transport the teas to Mumbai from Darjeeling within the given time span?

While opportunity was knocking at our door, there seemed to be a tussle with practicality. The stars aligned and co-incidentally our founder had an important meeting scheduled in Mumbai within the same time period. The Dorje Team used the hours given and maximised every minute. The Fresh from Farm Darjeeling Teas were packed and readied. There was no time to send the tea through a courier agency. Our founder personally carried the tea to Mumbai and delivered it at the Filmfare doorstep.

All our hard work was rewarded when we saw different celebrities opening the hamper. With great pride, we saw Dorje Teas inside the hamper.

Bollywood has become an integral part of the Indian cultural fabric. The stories told have encaptured and enraptured people all over the world. In fact, it is through the lens of Bollywood that the world perceives India. The film industry is not just about glamour. There is a lot of hard work and hardship involved.

For the last 67 years, Filmfare has been celebrating the excellent work that is being produced. Hugely popular and awaited by all, the Filmfare Awards are extremely prestigious.

An event as magnificent as the Filmfare Award Ceremony needs a lot of behind the scenes work. The prelude to such an event has to be an equally fancy invitation card which is sent to the who’s who of the Film Industry. A gift hamper is also sent along with the invitation card.
