Darjeeling Gold Roasted Milk Tea
Hello, Milk Tea Lovers, we have the perfect blend for you!
In India and indeed the world over, the most popular drink after water is probably milk. Life-giving and tasty, we have added it to so many different beverages – Cocoa, Coffee and Tea, to name a few.
Tea is an exotic herb which originated in China and was later brought to India by the British. Tea is the only Himalayan herb that is grown and sold commercially. It has many healthy and healing properties if consumed in the proper way. Traditionally, Darjeeling Tea should be had without milk and sugar. However, we at Dorje Teas realised that we need to push the boundaries further.
After much research, trial and error, we have come up with the Darjeeling Gold Roasted Milk Tea. It has the goodness and style of Darjeeling Tea on the one hand, and the familiar taste of milk and sugar on the other hand. The Darjeeling Gold Roasted Milk Tea Is the first and only one of its kind.
Darjeeling Tea is normally a light cup. We have worked hard to roast the leaves well so that it can absorb the milk. When you drink the tea, you will taste the distinct roasted, caramelized flavour.
We recommend that you use Low Fat Milk or Almond Milk for best results.
The Milk Tea that you normally purchase from the market is the CTC ( Cut, tear, curl) Tea. It blends well when boiled with milk. However, we would like you take a minute to understand what are you really drinking?
Ginger, cardamom and maybe some other exotic spices are added to milk with sugar. Then you boil it well and ensure all the ingredients come together. What then is the role of the tea in this concoction? It only gives colour! There will be no real difference in taste even if you do not add the tea.
The Darjeeling Gold Milk Tea instead celebrates both the tea and the milk.
